PUBLIC BEACHES
Most of Naples beaches are public. You just need to find a space. Some are metered some are free. In lieu of the meter the City allows you to buy a parking pass. These are available at city hall.
The Chamber
The Chamber website has a calendar of all events, restaurant etc.
The Pier
No visit to Naples is complete without a visit to Naples City Pier. I was born in Naples and we frequently ended our evenings with a walk on the Pier after dinner. It is a great place to watch the sunset.
Restaurants and Shopping and Recreation
I have left lots of menus and brochures in this book as well as more in the drawer. This should give you a good start on things to do.
I recommend the Naples Beach Club for Sunset and drinks by the Pool Bar. It is a short walk south of Moorings beach and is popular with everyone. Try their frozen Rumrunners…They rock! Sunday afternoons they have entertainment and a great crowd. They also have a spa if you want spa services or massage. On the way there you will also pass the Edgewater Beach Club. They have an excellent restaurant and beach bar.
GOLF COURSES- Naples has many fantastic golf courses. I grew up golfing and played on the girls golf team at Naples high school. One of my favorite courses and only a few blocks from the cottage is the NAPLES BEACH HOTEL & GOLF CLUB. Tiberon has also become a favorite over the years. Fifth Avenue and Third Street are busy every day for shopping and evenings for dinning and entertainment. Also many events take place over the holidays their. They make it snow in the streets so you must check that out. I have left an event calendar in the front of the book.
Tommy Bahamas on 3rd is fun for dinner and drinks. They usually have a tropical band.
An old time favorite is THE DOCK AT CRAYTON COVE. Just a cool fun place and a taste of Old Naples.
